Paul Partyka Supports Revival of Manned Space Program
WINTER SPRINGS, FLA., April 15, 2010 --- Former Winter Springs Mayor and Democratic candidate for Florida's District 24 Congressional seat, Paul Partyka, is standing up for the reintroduction of the Manned Space Program at NASA and drawing attention to the Space Coast area as a target for keeping existing jobs and gaining new jobs.
"Maintaining jobs in the space industry is crucial for Central Florida and our country," said Partyka. "But of equal importance is the recognition that these professionals have fueled innovation for decades through the space program and take great pride in their work."
President Obama will be visiting Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral today to discuss the reintroduction of the Manned Space Program.
"With the jobs portion of the damaged economy slow to mend, continuation of the Manned Space Program will help keep thousands employed and will supply new beginnings to the Space Coast area residents," said Partyka. "Americans need jobs and opportunities to inspire hope, and I know we can count on President Obama to speak to this today."
