Paul Partyka Challenges Incumbent Susanne Kosmas to Primary Debate in House District 24 Race
WINTER SPRINGS, FLA., May 19 2010 --- Former two-term Winter Springs Mayor Paul Partyka stepped up his campaign to challenge incumbent Suzanne Kosmas for the Democratic nomination in Florida's 24th Congressional District race by challenging the incumbent to a public debate before the primary vote.
"Suzanne Kosmas has been running her campaign from Washington D.C. and the handwriting is on the wall---it's time for her to face the voters in our district and address the issues that voters are concerned with," Partyka said.
Partyka said recent primary races in Arkansas, Pennsylvania and Kentucky show that voters are generally dissatisfied with the current crop of legislators in Washington.
Voters care about the economy, about jobs, about health care costs and about the practical, everyday issues that make their lives better---or worse," Partyka said.
"We want representation in Congress that can fix the problems and get America back on the right path toward prosperity, sustainability and a promising future for our children, not more legislative posturing," Partyka said.
Partyka said he is calling for a debate with Kosmas any time, anywhere in the 24th District.
"The voters deserve to hear both candidates address the issues that are important in our District," Partyka said. "When it is all said and done, candidates and incumbents alike owe the voters a clear choice," he said.
