Jobs and the Economy
Paul was in management with a Fortune 500 company but left to be an entrepreneur. Paul was President of the Oviedo Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce and is currently Managing Partner of a large Central Florida commercial real estate company.
- More and better job training and retraining programs
- Focus stimulus investment on small business, and ease restrictions on credit so that they can expand; small business drives most jobs in our economy
- Support job creation through incubators.
- Demonstrate the courage to stop overspending and rein in the deficit
- Incentivize the manufacture and purchase of American-made products
- Build up America’s middle class rather than the middle class of other countries
Health Care
As a small businessman, Paul had to choose between paying for health care insurance or company bills. The incumbent should have supported reform from the beginning.
- Federal Health Insurance Reform has been enacted; let’s move forward together
- Identify ways to cut administrative costs that account for one in five dollars spent on health care
- Everyone should have access to health insurance and care
- No one should go bankrupt because of medical bills, as has been the case for 700,000 Americans.
Space Coast Industry
Paul worked at Port Canaveral for over 5 years and knew about the program ending. Paul made presentations with peers from Huntsville and Houston to keep jobs two years ago. Where was the incumbent all this time? Where was she last year?
- We must commit to being the world’s leader in manned exploration.
- We must close or eliminate the gap between existing programs and future programs.

- Invest in the elimination of waste and fraud in Medicare
- Expand Medicare to include younger (55+) Americans
Veterans and Our Military

- Support policies that enable a strong, nimble defense
- Invest what is necessary to make our military the strongest in the world
- Use technology to identify threats and prevent acts of terror
Energy and the Environment
Paul believes energy-independence must be a priority on so many levels.
- Energy independence is a National Security issue. If we eliminate or reduce our need for foreign oil we might not be in some of the conflicts that we are in now.
- Support investment in ALL alternative and renewable energy sources, including solar, wind, nuclear and biofuels
- Review all aspects of drilling off Florida’s coast
Paul believes protecting our environment is our promise to future generations. If we fail to protect our environment nothing else really matters.
- Promote renewable energy resources
- Eliminate harmful gases into our atmosphere
- Support clean air and clean water standards
Transportation
Paul has been an aggressive supporter of mass transportation since the early 90's and actively participated on advisory committees.
- Support investment in commuter and high speed rail and other public transportation initiatives
- Support local adjacent development which helps create jobs
Immigration
Paul and his family immigrated here through Ellis Island. That is why he understands the importance of this issue. Paul does not support the Arizona law
- Support meaningful, fair, practical Federal reform without delay
- Securing our national borders should not be left to the individual states
- Develop path for law-abiding immigrants to permanent residence and/or citizenship
